Open Your Mouth and Eat the Site

Challenge

Making it possible to produce dozens of fun chocolate molds - 1.5 kg! - for Hershey's to use in its new promotion: Open Your Mouth and Eat the Site

Solution

We adapted our lab to machine wooden blocks, via CNC router, which were transformed into chocolate molds using the vacuum forming process. We co-created the design of the molds with Aktuellmix, which were produced in record time, in a totally food-safe manner, and delivered to Hershey's to produce the chocolates distributed during the action.

Hershey's used these molds to produce several tons of chocolates in unusual shapes for the winners of the "Open Your Mouth and Eat the Site" promotion. In addition to this grandiose digital manufacturing process, we also developed the promotion's responsive website, a complex mechanic with lucky numbers that were won by vouchers for the purchase of Hershey's chocolates. Users who had the lucky number could access the site and try their luck, by biting into one of the site's winning highlights (which were drawn at random during intervals throughout the day), the user would win that clicked piece.
