Challenge
Create a device for Natura consultants, which can be attached to any phone, and which is able to magnify the hair strands - as if it were a microscope - so that the consumers' hair is analyzed in an ML process that will take care of the indication of the best products.
Solution
Bolha created and developed this device, which worked in conjunction with the mobile app developed by the Natura team. To analyze the hair, the device was attached to the cell phone camera and was able to zoom in with high definition, from the sum of the portable lenses of the device with the cell phone camera, making it possible to obtain images with a high degree of detail of different types of hair.
We produced the functional prototypes of the device and all the technical documentation necessary for Natura to be able to manufacture the solution on a large scale. Before arriving at the final solution, Bolha conducted several rounds of design and testing with the Natura team, until we found the best alignment of the magnifying lenses, the best attachment of the device to the cell phone, among other important properties for the project such as: ergonomics, ease of use, battery life, lighting and refraction, capacity to press the hair strands, among other factors.
